Why does my dog and cat have tear stains and spots in their beards and between their toes in the first place?
The reddish spots are actually caused by epiphora, or more simply put, watery eyes and excessive tear production. It all starts with a blocked tear duct, the channel that leads from the eye to the nose. Tears have a low pH, which means they are slightly acidic. If tears are constantly left on the coat, the hair around the eyes dies and turns brown. Thanks to the oxidation-inhibiting effect of GogiPet Eye Care, the coat retains its natural colour. The same applies to saliva which is deposited in the beard and in dogs which like to lick their paws and between their toes. GogiPet Eye Cleaner flushes out the clogged and swollen tear ducts and allows the tear fluid to drain away without clumping. At the same time, the GogiPet Eye Cleanser cleans existing stains.

How to use GogiPet Eye Care:
Recommended for all dog breeds, but especially for those with short faces such as Maltese, Pekinese, Bichon Frisé, Shih Tzu, Yorkshire Terrier and even Persian and exotic shorthair cats.
We recommend using GogiPet Eye Care at least once a day. In severe cases, you can even apply it twice. Simply drip the product into and around the eye. Clean and dry with a cotton cloth or pad, toilet paper is also ideal as it does not fluff.
In most cases, it's about keeping the eye area as dry as possible and cleaning the eyes daily. When used daily in and around the eyes, this lotion helps to unclog the blocked ducts and ensures that the tear fluid remains transparent.
Tear stains can be due to many different causes:
- A food allergy or unsuitable diet. If a dog with a food allergy is switched to grain-free food, the spot problem is often solved.
- Dental inflammation
- Ear infection.
- Genetic problems such as
