The slip collar is also known as a choking collar or training collar, as it closes tightly around the neck when pulled strongly, thus allowing the dog to get rid of excessive pulling. Especially in dog schools the choke collar is often required or at least recommended.
The dog collar fits loosely around the dog's neck and is therefore very comfortable because it does not pinch and does not constrict the dog in any way. Only when the dog tries to free itself from the collar does it contract and cannot slip over the head, making the dog collar a simple but safe solution.
