How to remove urine odour from wood.

Instructions for use - UF2000, spray against urine smell and urine stains.
Urine stains in wooden floor parts or hardwood floors are the most difficult stains to remove, and especially when the wood has darkened due to repeated urination.
The dark spots are a sign that there is an accumulation of dried urine salts (urine crystals), but also that the wood has already been attacked because the acidic urine has eaten into the wood.

UF2000 is able to completely remove the urine smell with a few applications. It can also remove most of the accumulation of dried salt crystals.
Unfortunately, the damage to the wood cannot be repaired by our product.
In most cases, the floor can be restored to an acceptable appearance by light sanding and refinishing (with wax or varnish).
Before sanding and applying wax or varnish, the urine stain should be removed with UF2000.
If the urine stain is first treated a few times with Ecodor UF2000, it will be easier to eventually touch up the corroded area(s) later.

The instructions for use below apply to a floor where there are several urine stains.
Start by spraying the urine stains with UF2000.

Then apply UF2000 to the entire floor. Cover the wet floor with a piece of plastic to prevent UF2000 from evaporating too quickly. After UF2000 has been applied, the urine smell usually becomes a little more noticeable after some time because the smell comes to the surface. Remove the plastic after about 30 minutes and dry the floor with (paper) towels.
Repeat the treatment after 30 minutes until all urine odour is removed. Each application will improve the condition of the surface, as proof the dark spots will become lighter and smaller until all the urine is completely removed.

Treat all urine stained areas individually until all stains have almost disappeared or become lighter, which means that the urine has been removed. Then let the wooden floor parts dry.
Wipe the floor with a little water after the last treatment and then dry it.
If you use UF2000, the urine smell will disappear. In addition, the dark spots will become less and it will be easier to make the floor look like new again later by sanding and/or treating it with varnish or wax.
Often, after using UF2000, the floor is already so clean that after-treatment is no longer necessary.
